Commissioning

The TitusTouch Commissioning Ceremony

The TitusTouch Commissioning is a regal ceremony that celebrates the completion of the English or Spanish TitusTouch Biblical Womanhood Series, and represents the commitment of the one who is being commissioned “to teach the younger women” the same truths they have learned. The structure and format can be created by any group as they desire; however, we suggest the following format, which has been implemented successfully over the years:

~A presentation of the “Titus Touch Biblical Womanhood” Commissioning Requirements.

~A presentation of each woman to the attending body.

~A presentation of an alabaster jar, hand-tooled and imported from Israel,  representing light, purity, honor and the Word of God hidden in her heart.

~A bottle of spikenard, imported from Israel, representing consecration and worship.

We also recommend the following three elements be a part of the ceremony that we feel will enhance the moment for all:

First, deliver an inspirational address and read the commissioning requirements to the attending body, highlighting the number of lessons completed, verses memorized, and other special accomplishments. If you have an opportunity for special music, the song Alabaster Box works beautifully.

Second, after presenting the alabaster jar, have each woman stand in place until all who are being commissioned have been presented. This is also a time when selected women can share their testimony of how the experience has impacted their lives.

Third, the TitusTouch Commissioning Commitment (available upon request) is recited by the participating ladies, confirming their service and commitment according to Titus 2:3-5.

Finally, the entire group of commissioned women are presented. Invite the attending body to express their congratulations.

The key is to stress the commitment to teach (share with) others the principles they haved learned. This mentoring process has been implemented in home groups, large women's ministry classes and small groups, which allows for study, sharing, and ministry on a regular basis.

May God richly bless your call to mentoring women in biblical womanhood.
